Summary:
Joe Yabuki is a juvenile delinquents in Tokyo Downtown area in the Showa 40's. Joe gets into a skirmish and is sent to a reformatory school where he meets a young boxer, Toru Rikiishi. Rikiishi gets out of the reformatory first and starts climbing up the success ladder as a professional boxer while Joe is trained as a boxer by Danpei Tange, ex-boxer trainer, in a shabby boxing gym. Rikiishi wants a match with Joe before he tries his first world title.
