Summary:
Yamaguchi Zensuke, who lost his family, has been roughly treated. He finds himself happy in the military which does not discriminate him based on his background. In Beijing, Zensuke is assigned to breed a dog donated by a noble lady, Yaeno. During the post-war confusion Zensuke returns to Japan and devotes his life to helping Yaeno.
