Summary:
Southward, ho!: Roy's first film with Gabby Hayes, who inherits a half-interest in the Twin Springs ranch in Texas after the Civil War ends and hires Roy to be his foreman. Roy discovers that the former Union officer who is the government's chief law enforcement official and tax collector is also the head of an outlaw gang. The Arizona kid: While Roy and Gabby are visiting friends in Missouri, the Civil War breaks out. A local gang, Val McBride and his Rebel Raiders, are killing, looting, and creating a bad reputation for the Conferate Army, and Roy and Gabby set out to stop them. Young Buffalo Bill: Roy is Buffalo Bill and Gabby Hayes his sidekick in the New Mexico territory of the 1860's. They are asked by Gabby's former commanding officer to keep an eye on his son, who is conducting a land survey. Young Bill Hickok: Roy as Wild Bill Hickok and Sally Payne as Calamity Jane foil the plans of a European agent to seize western territory and control of California's wealth by forcing the state to break away from the union during the Civil War.
