Summary:
Helen Bartlett (Lombard) would never bore anyone with the truth. A chronic liar married to a struggling lawyer (MacMurray), the aspiring writer claims she is innocent when the cops accuse her of murder. Unable to tell if she is really telling the truth, Helen's husband pleads self-defense and manages to convince the jury. After her newfound notoriety makes them rich, a mysterious blackmailer (Barrymore) threatens to reveal the real killer's name unless Helen pays for his silence --Container.
