Summary:
Street angel (95 min.): Upon arriving in Shanghai from war-torn northeast China, two sisters, Xiaoyun and Xiaohong are coerced into a corrupt environment in the poorest part of the city. Xiaohong falls in love with a handsome young man, Chen Shaoping. Shaoping tries to help them escape before their "guardian" sells them to a gangster. Twin sisters (90 min.): Twin girls separated at birth are reunited when one raised in poverty becomes a servant in the household of her sister, now the pampered wife of a warlord general.
