Summary:
Okada Izō is a samurai warrior from a low-class family. His talent as a swordsman is discovered by a powerful samurai warlord, who recruits Izo as a soldier. Under his guidance, Izō murders many people. Izo is later crucified for his actions, and becomes the incarnation of a deep-seated grudge when his soul cannot enter Heaven or Hell.
