Summary:
Meshi: A young married woman is disturbed by the increasing emotional distance between herself and her husband. Yama no oto: A young married woman satisfies her need for emotional intimacy by developing a close friendship with her father-in-law. Nagareru: The employees of a geisha house struggle with their diminishing status in Japanese society.
