Summary:
Using interviews with biographers and researchers, staged recreations of events in his life, and performances of his music, this film uncloaks the mystery of Joseph Boulogne Le Chevalier de Saint Georges, a black musician from the 18th century whose work has fallen into neglect due to the prejudices of history. It revives the story of Saint-George's life as an ardent lover, a renowned athlete, a revolutionary, but above all, as an extraordinary composer and performer.
