Summary:
Emma Thatcher becomes housekeeper to the Smith family after the mother dies giving birth to her fourth child. After the children are grown, Mr. Smith and Emma marry. Unfortunately, he dies suddenly. When it is discovered that he left everything to Emma in his will, three of the children bring a charge of murder against her.
