Summary:
In a recreation of an earlier NBC radio broadcast celebrating the downfall of Mussolini's government, Toscanini conducts the overture to Verdi's Forza del destino and his own rearrangement of Verdi's Inno delle nazioni. Included is commentary on the contributions of Toscanini and other great Italians to democracy.
