Compact discs. Focus of the family cast with Robert Lindsay as John Newton. Recorded at The Soundhouse Ltd., London, United Kingdom.
Summary:
John Newton was one of the least likely candidates to write one of the world's most famous hymns. He was a hell-bent adventurer, a merchant of slaves who became a slave himself, a drunken sailor who was flogged at sea, and a reprobate who was determined to forge his own destiny without God. But through each season of his life, Newton could not escape the truth that providence orchestrated each event, steering him toward the pivotal moment when he would experience a most amazing grace.
