Summary:
"FINGERING THE KILLER heads to Connecticut to examine two representative cases. A 21-year-old dental assistant, Penny Serra was stabbed to death in a New Haven parking garage in 1973, and the killer left blood samples and a fingerprint at the scene. But it wasn't until 1997, when the print was fed into a new, nationally linked print examiner, that the killer was caught. The man who killed 11-year-old Angelica Padilla didn't escape justice for nearly as long: fibers found in her hair led to a massive effort that eventually tied Angelica's neighbor to the crime."--Publisher's website.
