"Aurora Borealis is meant to evoke the mystery and majesty of the Northern Lights, through a kind of aural dialog between ethereal and energetic heavenly forces. Ideally, the piece needs a performance space with a long natural reverberation, to enhance the intended depiction of cosmic mystery as solar energy impacts the Earth's magnetic field to produce this stunning visual phenomenon. But, regardless of the setting, my hope is that this music can transport both the player and listeners to another place and another realm."--T. Mason.
