Summary:
A dramatization of the impoverished childhood of Maxim Gorky, Russian. Maxim Gorkly's poor childhood under the care of his grandparents. Four-year old Gorky is placed in the care of his cruel grandfather and loving grandmother. He is forced into the streets after experiencing misery and abuse with his new family.
