Original broadcast in 2003 as an episode of I'll Show Them Who's Boss. Gerry Robinson.
Summary:
A behind-the-scenes case study of transforming a failing enterprise. Gerry Robinson, renowned business consultant, takes his business acumen to The Vernon Road Bleaching and Dyeing Company, a British lace dyeing operation bought in bankruptcy by the father/son team of Henry and Richard Chaplin. Robinson suggests re-motivating workers by building bridges of trust and respect--and failing that, by the exit of the boss himself. Gerry Robinson is rich and ruthless -- and notorious for transforming vast companies by sacking the bosses. In this series, he shares his business genius with companies who crucially need help. Robinson's philosophy is that the basic rules of running a successful company apply to any business - whatever its size.
