Summary:
"UV light is usually delivered to drinking water as it flows through a UV reactor (Chapter 5 gives more description of the design of UV reactors). The UV equipment (including one or more UV reactors) is typically applied to filtered water and is often installed after the filter effluent piping recombining before the clearwell. It is very important that the operators are able to control the UV output in the reactor so that at least a minimum UV dose is applied at all times"-- Provided by publisher.
