Poirot's vacation to Petra turns mysterious when a woman's corpse is found among the ruins. Though the victim was universally loathed, the authories can't find sufficient evidence even to rule her death a murder. Before Poirot can prove 'whodunnit' he must first prove that a murder actually occured.
