Summary:
"The Cambridge Handbook of Twin Peaks Financial Regulation is the first comprehensive examination of the Twin Peaks model of financial regulation. The chapters explore many themes, including the perceived benefits of the Twin Peaks model arising out of its flexibility and adaptability, the importance of the transitional stage for those jurisdictions that adopt the model and the reality that there is no unique or single version of Twin Peaks. Part I, 'Surveying the Terrain', examines the origins of the Twin Peaks model, its evolution in the UK and Australia respectively and the important role of the central bank. Part II of the book, 'The Trek towards Twin Peaks', explores how various jurisdictions have adopted and adapted the Twin Peaks model. Part III of the book, 'Different Topographies', considers the topography in various jurisdictions that have not adopted the Twin Peaks model and whether it would be appropriate to adopt the model in the relevant jurisdiction. Part IV of the book, entitled 'Seismic Activity and Fault Lines', explores various challenges and tensions under the Twin Peaks model"-- Provided by publisher.
