Horses all across the county are disappearing, including Cheryl's Ranger and the Millers' Samson. So she and Levi join forces to find the thieves and recover their animals. In the meantime, Cheryl stumbles across an old diary of a recently deceased Sugarcreek resident, Emmaline Draper. Apparently, when the author was young, she had fallen in love with an Amish man. But because she was an Englischer, the couple never acted on their feelings. The words from the diary pierce Cheryl's heart. She doesn't want to end up alone like Emmaline. But can Cheryl muster up the courage to share her true feelings with Levi? Or will they continue to run from the love that has been building in their hearts from their very first meeting?
