Summary:
"Jane Austen was a prolific English writer of fiction, including six novels (of which two were published posthumously) and a novella (also published posthumously), and is considered to be one of the greatest novelists of all time, though she died in obscurity at the age of forty-one. She is buried at Winchester Cathedral. Austen's first novel, Sense and Sensibility, was not published until she was thirty-five. She also published anonymously, because at the time, "lady novelists" risked public censure for their presumption."--Provided by publisher.
