Summary:
On the Thanksgiving morning in New York City, Fritz Malone witnesses a shooting and chases the gunman. The police stop him and deliver him to the police commissioner, who informs Fritz that someone dubbed "Nightmare" has been taunting the city's leaders for weeks, warning of an imminent attack on the citizenry.
