Henry's RCMP law officer duties include some that leave him with haunting memories. Particularly the young widow and baby boy whom he longs to help. Some years after Henry was adopted, Christine also joined the Delaney family. When she moves to the city to find employment, it is with full determination to follow in the faithful footsteps of her parents and older brother. Her employer's son, Boyd, captures her heart and she promises to marry him and help fill the void left from Boyd's lonely childhood and his lack of a loving family.
