Summary:
Geiger has a gift where he knows a lie the minute he hears it. In his business, as an "information retrieval" called by its practitioners, that gift is invaluable, because truth is the hottest thing on the market. One of the rules he has is that he never works with children. So when his partner brings in a client who demands that Geiger interrogate a 12-year-old boy, Geiger responds by rescuing the boy. Now Geiger must find out what the boy's secret is before they are found by his captors.
