Many years after the events of "The Shining," Dan Torrance, now middle-aged, has found work in a nursing home, where his latent shining power helps comfort dying old folks. However, when the True Knot cult of old people in their RV's shows up, looking for the twelve-year-old girl named Abra Stone--who has the brightest shining ever seen--Dan forces himself back into action in a battle of good and evil to safe the life of this innocent young girl.
