American Alec Hudson, a backpacker stops at a bed and breakfast in the remote mountains of North Wales before the last leg of his journey to carry his late wife's ashed to the top of a mountain they climbed years before. As he reaches the summit and scatters her ashes, Alec is caught in a terrible hail storm. He struggles as he heads back down the mountain. Alec stumbles upon a body of a man whom he recognizes from a picture he saw in the bed and breakfast. The man is not quite dead yet and is the reclusive husband of Fiona Edwards.
