Summary:
"While palimpsest usually refers to a piece of vellum that has had the original writing on it scraped off to be re-used, a secondary definition of palimpsest is "something having usually diverse layers or aspects apparent beneath the surface." Ms. Owen's dense lettering in a variety of calligraphic styles and sizes, with several repetitions of text certainly fits. ... The reader / viewer is left with the impression that prayers - no matter who wrote them - have a commonality, and that is giving thanks." --Vendor's description.
