Alzheimer's disease is a growing epidemic that touches nearly every American family, wiping away vast stores of personal memories and human connections. It is a reality 20 million American patients, caregivers and families already live with, and a prospect the rest of us may face. The documentary takes a dramatic, compassionate, all-compassing look at this fearsome disease and aims to help all Americans better understand and cope with its impact. It also weaves together the intense real-world experiences of Alzheimer's patients and caregivers, the history and biology of Alzheimer's and the ongoing struggle to end the disease.
