Summary:
Louise has no reason to stay in the city. Joseph her son is away at boarding school, where he performs in a boys' choir. Her neighbor has begun blasting choral music at all hours of the night, and she's the only one who can hear it. Louise convinces her husband to buy a country house in a community called Swallowfield.
