Summary:
Mister Rogers thought of himself first and foremost as a musician, and he was delighted to share his love of music. In these five episodes he introduces children to some of the many different ways people use music to express feelings. He visits with world renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma and the Empire Brass Quintet. He explores rhythms with Ella Jenkins and with a fascinating collection of rhythmic instruments from all over the world. A factory visits show how people make bass violins and in Make-Believe there's lots of excitement with a Bass Violin Festival. Regular Neighbors include Chuck Aber (Neighbor Aber), Betty Aberlin (Lady Aberlin), Don Brockett (Chef Brockett), Joe Negri (Handyman Negri), David Newell (Mr. McFeely), Audrey Roth (Miss Paulificatte), Elizabeth Seamans (Mrs. McFeely), Maggie Stewart (Mayor Maggie), Bob Trow (Bob Dog/ Robert Troll), Bill Barker (Dr. Bill and Elsie Jean Playtypus), Lenny Meledandri (Prince Tuesday) and Carole Muller Switala (Ana Platypus). The musicians were John Costa, Michael Moricz, Carl McVicker and Robert Rawsthorne.
