In September 2008, the Seventh International Colloquium of Greek Palaeography celebrated the 300th anniversary of the "Palaeographia Graeca," the pioneer work of the Benedictine Bernard de Montfaucon that established the fundamentals of the discipline. These proceedings collect contributions by specialists from a number of different countries, organized in four broad sections: palaeography; codicology; textual transmission; and Greek manuscripts in Spain.
