Summary:
--Page 4 of cover.
A small town near Lausanne is totally influenced by the reformist gale of the preacher Juan Calvin, who governs the nearby city of Geneva with his religious theses. Cardinal Urs Steiner is in charge of exercising the government in the town. Protected by a group of ruthless mercenaries, the cleric will impose on the residents of the small town a regime of tyranny and absolute power with which he will awaken an ancient and diabolical curse that for years had remained locked up and dozed between the old walls of the town. ±Urs Steiner was not a religious fanatic, as Calvin or Luther himself could be, or without going any further, the numerous Catholic bishops, cardinals and popes who had marched freely and triumphantly throughout the world in defense of their religious doctrine ; he, simply, he was an ambitious man, extremely ambitious, that was the main characteristic of him, and as such, his main mission in life was to surpass other mortals and go on to dominate them, be and show himself superior to them.
