Summary:
In the year 1570, the convent of Santa Caterina is disrupted by the arrival of sixteen-year-old Serafina, the daughter of a noble family who has been forced to attend the convent and begins a complex relationship of trust and betrayal with one of the nuns that will bring about a rebellion among the nuns that is further complicated by the dictates of the Counter-Reformation.
