Ballet performance. Title from container. Le bête et la belle adaptated from the tale La Belle et la Bête, Josseline Le Bourhis and Kader Belarbi. La reine morte loosely based on the true story of Dona Inès de Castro (1320-1355) and "La Reine Morte" by Henry de Montherlant. Le corsaire is a ballet in two acts based on Adam's 1856 Corsaire, with a new libretto by Kader Belarbi based on Byron's poem of the same name. The music is a mixture of Adam's original score, in part reorchestrated, new music by David Coleman, and borrowings from other works by Arensky, Lalo, Massenet, and Sibelius.
