A serenata in three acts with overture; for 2 soprano voices, 2 mezzo-soprano voices, 2 contralto voices, 1 bass voice with orchestra; also contains unrealized figured bass. Libretto probably by Giacomo Rossi, see page xxiv. This work was composed in early 1734 for the wedding of Anne, Princess Royal and the Dutch Prince William IV of Orange. Ten movements are new, the remainder reworked from earlier pieces, many from Athalia, HWV 52. Includes bibliographical references (pages 262-269).
