After returning home, Chicago native Daniel Bennett, the sole survivor of a brutal massacre in South Sudan, is tormented by guilt and memories of an unforgivable crime allowed to go unpunished, until United Nations crisis counselor Ayana Burundi offers him the chance to see the man who took everything from him pay for his crimes, and though they are facing insurmountable odds and danger, Ayana and Daniel are determined to bring a monster to justice, no matter the cost.
