Summary:
1919 von Walter Gropius in Weimar als Kunstschule gegründet, wurde das Bauhaus rasch zum Treffpunkt der europäischen Avantgarde. Mit Weltoffenheit und internationaler künstlerischer Vielfalt zog das Bauhaus bald weltberühmte Künstler an: Lyonel Feininger, Wassily Kandinsky, Paul Klee, László Moholy-Nagy und Oskar Schlemmer unterrichteten dort. Gemeinsam mit den Studenten gestalteten sie zwischen 1921 und 1923 Postkarten und handaquarellierte Einladungskarten zu den Festen und Ausstellungen am Bauhaus, die hier zum großen Jubiläum erstmals in einem Band versammelt sind.
