The 1st work, for wind quintet and tape, whose tape consists of sounds of gambling (slot machines, roulette wheels, dice, poker chips, coins, cards, the big wheel) with the voice of dice-caller Tom Marinet; the 2nd work for oboe and tape, whose tape is a soundscape of natural sounds from Zion National Park, Utah, which interacts live in performance with the oboe; the 3rd work, for wind quintet and tape, whose tape includes sounds of a Cardinals game at Busch Stadium, various voices, and other baseball event sounds; the 4th work, for string quartet, is based on melodic material from the composer's Garland Hirschi's cows; the 5th work is for tape, whose tape includes sampled voice and harmonica.
