Summary:
An elderly woman reviews her life. It was an existence that spanned from The Great War all the way until the dawn of the twenty-first century. Although the woman never longed for more than an ordinary life what she received was one of the most remarkable times in American history. Not only was she able to survive this period but she even managed to thrive and through it all she remained with the love of her life. A love that endured from high school all the way until the end of the twentieth century. It was a life that reflected a generation. It was a group of people that was asked for so much and gave back even more. Through all of this the resiliency and courage of this woman never wavered and in the end she could feel content about a life that was well lived.
