Summary:
This is the most prominent of all the Language texts, and in its' original form is the scarcest text of that movement. The unbound cards present "random" possibilities for compositions. The book itself is sculptural. Both of these features are integral to the work. They reflect the Language movement, which reframed the aesthetic focus on the metrical line to use the sentence as the basic unit of poetic composition, and was also interested politically in the material nature of language as artistic expression.
