Geppetto, a lonely old puppet maker, carves a little wooden boy out of an enchanted log he finds in the forest. The Puppet is extraordinarily lifelike. He can walk with strings, talk, and has talent for mimicry. But he isn't a real boy, which is what he wants more than anything in the world.
