"This is a story about eight characters suffering from various ailments: a doctor who does not acknowledge his homosexuality, a woman who refuses to accept that she is growing old, a deaf nurse and her diabetic mother, a failed writer, an autistic child, a young pregnant woman and an adolescent in a coma, who are linked together by the fact that one of them, Guillermo is diagnosed with a malignant tumor in his kidney. The 'diseases' are wide and varied: emotional, physical and social, and, like cancer, they consume the characters. All the stories take place within the framework of a city that is falling apart ... a victim of its own multiple ailments.
