Summary:
A sequential curriculum of warm-up, rhythm, and sight-reading exercises. Begins with studies on tone production, bowing, and articulation (right hand), and then finger patterns and shifting (left hand). Subsequent studies for scales, chorales, rhythm, and sight-reading make this a complete method for the advancing string musician. The largest part of this string method is devoted to the study of keys through scales, arpeggios, and thirds. One of this book's strongest traits is the format which allows students of different levels to learn the skills appropriate for their individual ability in one classroom all at the same time.--Page vi.
