When they are trapped in apartments designed to float on a river, a small group of people, including a single mother, her developer lover, and the architect who designed the apartments, try to find a way of escape. Residents of apartments designed to float in the peaceful cove of a winding river become divided on how best to survive when a sinkhole gives way and torrential rains flood the cove, cutting them off from the rest of the world.
