Summary:
In this comedy set in German-occupied Poland during World War II, Elzbieta Czyzewska plays Maria, a fearless Polish girl who unwillingly brings an Italian soldier and deserter of the Eastern front into her Warsaw apartment. The "guest" becomes trouble for Maria, as she is involved in a conspiracy and lives with her brother, an artist (played by Zbigniew Cybulski). Circumstance involves the Italian with the Polish underground, and of course he falls in love with the beautiful Maria.
