Summary:
Vol. 1 features Carter Beauford playing along with remixed master tracks of "#41", "Say goodbye" and "Tripping billies." He provides a demonstration--slow and up to tempo--of each of his drum parts for "#41." Also, he discusses his background and the early days of the Dave Matthews Band, his hi-hat approach, technique, his drum and cymbal setup, and double bass drums. Vol. 2 includes three additional performances by Carter, along with the album masters, of "Ants marching," "Satellite," and "Lie in our graves." He offers insight into the development of each tune, plus he covers topics including fills, left-hand lead/open-hand approach, mixing styles, and his overall approach to the drums. Featured throughout both tapes is previously unreleased live footage of Carter in action with the Dave Matthews Band.
