Summary:
Investigates incident of bioterrorism at the headquarters of B'NAI B'rith: On April, 24, 1997, the District of Columbia Fire/EMS Department (DCFEMS) responded to a call about a suspicious package, possibly containing Anthrax and Yersinia, disease-causing bacteria that have been used as biological weapons. During the operation, DCFEMS decontaminated ca. 30 people for exposure. Though the threat was a hoax, the incident revealed many lessons for the fir service. Cf. "Overview," p. 2.
