Summary:

In 1999, the Jackson County Fair will celebrate its 50th anniversary at the present site. In honor of this Golden Anniversary, it was decided, after numerous requests to the Food Contest Committee (a sub-committee of the Jackson County Fair Board) that a cook book would be published. The recipes in this cook book have been retained for the past six years in preparation for this publication. The cooks who own the recipes entered the two Chocolate contests, the Dreamy Desserts contest, the Sesquicentennial Baking contest, the Holiday Fare contest, the Food Festival contest, the Open Class division and the 4-H department at the Jackson County Fair."
