Summary:
Lions love (... and lies): Ragni, Rado and Viva play themselves, waiting for their big Hollywood break and casually drifting into a ménage à trois. Varda captures the quirky, laid-back lifestyle of 1960's Los Angeles as her characters contemplate metaphysics, the dangers of milk consumption, Hollywood sinking into the ocean.
Uncle Yanco: In her first California film, Agnes Varda delves into her own history. She tracks down a relative she's never met, discovering Jean Varda, an artist and kindred soul leading a bohemian life in Sausalito.
Black Panthers: Documents an Oakland demonstration, organized by the Black Panthers, against the imprisonment of Huey P. Newton.
Mur murs: After returning to Los Angeles from France in 1979, Agnès Varda created this documentary about the murals that decorate the city. Includes comments by some of the muralists. Most of the walls have since been destroyed and live on today only in this film.
Documenteur: A young French woman, separated from her lover, tries to find a lodging in Los Angeles for herself and her eight-year-old son.
