Additional lectures available on audio-cassette under the title "Evolution of Psychotherapy." Video-taped at the Evolution of Psychotherapy Conference, held Dec. 13-17, 1995 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Summary:
In this video William Glasser emphasizes three important points for therapists to remember : one, do not find out too much information about a client before the first meeting to avoid forming preconceived notions; two, role-playing is a very effective learning tool for therapists, whether one role-plays the client or the therapist; and three, it's important to let the client know that the therapist is "on her side." The discussion concludes with a role-playing segment.
