Summary:
Jerusalem. An ideal setting for auguries and visions. For ancient unsolved mysteries. And for gruesome murders. The ground beneath the city's worn paving stones is rich with the blood of priests and prophets, warriors and kings. On the hills surrounding the city, thousand-year-old olive trees bear witness to the countless foreign armies that have come here to slaughter and loot, leaving in their wake God-crazed seers, looking to the sky for signs. Their descendants still haunt the Old City. Robed prophets wander the cobbled streets, warning the multitudes to repent before it's too late. Many who visit this holy city become afflicted with a kind of religious delirium. Psychologists have even given this malady a name: Jerusalem Syndrome. Most return to their senses after psychiatric treatment. But for some, the transformation is permanent. Enter Maya Rimon, an Israeli intelligence agent. Her assignment: to track down a lost treasure scroll and stop a religious fanatic from triggering Armageddon. But will she be in time?
